2006 PHOTOS

Pics from season 2006, This year I switched to the Hot Fords Formula using 2005 Escort, I went back to my yellow body with blue bumpers as I had when I started RR in 2003. Part way through the season i got another Escort and prepped it up to compete in 2007, but I sold up completely at the end of 2006. See notes at foot of page.

what a mess!! its all fixed now

This must have been the Final, cos I was in front of the fast 264 car

All fixed!! [well, almost!!!]

Oops! bit of damage from 2nd July:

Lots of tyre burns, the doors were bent in but pushed out easy, rear arch was catching tyre, abundance of red paint from the car that hit me, wheel has moved back slightly, just needs porta power on the tie bar mount to fix. One thing is that I cant understand how it did get moved back? perhaps the back caught the wall too as I straightened up?

rippled rim!! and lots of tyre burns, the tyre has extra groove round the outside of it now after the bent arch cut into it, scrap? nah!! it will still be fitted next meeting!!

Pic by LightingSojo, smoke caused by outside tyre rubbing

The car with sign changes and bumper colour change ready for the 2006 season.

I stopped racing at the end of 2006, mainly because of my illness as well as other factors, I had built a new car to use in 2007 [in the pics above, the all yellow one] but I sadly never got to even try it, I am gutted about that. My time in Hot Fords was very enjoyable, it was a lot tougher than RookiRods were. I started HF at Blue Grade, got to Superstar in first grading period, and was in the top 10 in both the Northern Championship and the British Championship, I went back to Red grade, then finished my season back at Blue, which given my car and my ability is the grading that suited me the most.
